The Quiet Room
Less noise. More room to live.

Begin with the light.
The room is arranged around the changing coastal light. A generous opening keeps the view uninterrupted; the depth of the ceiling gives the interior a sense of shelter.
A small palette, carefully used.
Oak overhead, pale stone underfoot and woven textures at hand. Repeating a few materials lets their differences become the detail, without filling the room with competing finishes.
A room for ordinary days.
Comfort is the organising idea. Places to sit, read and gather take priority over objects arranged for a photograph. The architecture provides the backdrop.
